A survey of recruitment agencies has found that permanent jobs are on the rise for the first time since September 2011, reports Reuters.
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation reported that British employers expanded their permanent recruitment, with the monthly permanent staff placement index rising to 51.2, the first time it has risen over 50 since September. This increase is the sharpest in permanent employment for nearly four years.
Furthermore, overall demand for staff rose, with engineers among the most sought after profession. The reduction in those claiming benefits indicates that there is a possibility that the labour market is levelling out.
